A WALK FOR CAMMY'S CAUSE: A TRIBUTE AND A FUNDRAISER
OCTOBER 10, 2010

The Mary Cameron Robinson Foundation is hosting its fifth annual fundraiser, “A Walk for Cammy’s Cause,” in memory of Mary Cameron (Cammy) Robinson. It will be held Oct. 10 at the Girls Preparatory School track, beginning at 2 p.m. The 2010 Co-Chairs are Ashley Davenport and Jarmin Johnston.
After losing Cammy five years ago to complications stemming from a 14-year battle with eating disorders, her family and friends have walked in her memory every fall. In honor of the fifth anniversary, the walk will be held at Cammy’s alma mater, Girls Preparatory School.
Last year, over $58,000 was raised with an attendance of over 400 people. Proceeds support the programs of the MCR Foundation. The MCR Foundation hosts support groups, school programs (3rd-12th grades) and a nursing education program to help promote healthy body image and positive self esteem. During the 2009-2010 school year, over a dozen schools were visited reaching 2,800 children in TN and North Georgia.
This year we would like to encourage walkers to form a team and ask for support of your team. We are also asking each walker to tell a friend, ask a neighbor or a family member and try to raise $75 for the MCR Foundation. Not only will this help provide money for the LadyBug Program, workshops and other resources we provide in the community; it will help raise awareness of MCR and the importance of spreading the word about eating disorders.
A big thank you to our
2009 SPONSORS:
