The LadyBug Program (Elementary Schools)

The LadyBug Program

Introduction

The LadyBug Program was implemented in elementary school classrooms in the Hamilton County school system in the fall of 2009.  The goal of the program is to enhance children’s self esteem and offer the tools needed for making difficult decisions they will face in the future related to their health and well-being.  It is the hope of this program that these children will begin to foster a healthy body image that will stay with them as they mature.

The Mary Cameron Robinson Foundation partners with the Junior League of Chattanooga to provide volunteers hours to make the LadyBug program the success it is. During the 2009-2010 school year, over 1,300 students participated in this program.
